Maybe our favourite toy!
Strength Shop Slam Balls are probably our favourite toy! So versatile. We've used them in the gym, outside on the concrete, at the park on the grass. So much fun and no signs of damage.

Felt 'heavier' than I imagined. Heavier than a standard 20k plate anyway at first.

1st Session Review
Did my first session with a 20kg slam ball on 04/01/2013. I did 10 Rounds of 10 overhead explosive slams and 10 overhead tosses. It held up very well. I have used other make slam balls before and found some leaking. The weight is brilliant, I am a larger person and enjoy working with big weights. 20kg for a slam ball gives a great balance between strength, power and endurance.

I will report back after 100+ workouts to let you know it is holding up.

Great value, multiuse bit of kit
I've had my 20kg ball for a few months now and am really pleased with it. Considerably heavier than the MBs you would find in an "ordinary" gym (i.e. gyms not geared to heavy strength or strongman type training), it provides a much greater challenge when used to do some of the traditional or standard type MB exercises, or can be used to perform exercises and movements that wouldn't necessarily be challenging with lighter weight MBs (e.g. loaded carries, clean to shoulder and over, thrusters, etc). Similarly, I've found it a nice "non-threatening" way to introduce less experienced trainees to some of the traditional resistance exercises (e.g. deadlift, front/goblet squat, press, chest press) - if they have to bail, it's as easy as dropping the ball. Dropping the 20kg slam ball should generally be ok in a private/non-hardcore facility; dropping a barbell in such a facility, NOT so ok! I would highly recommend this product.
