What’s the benefit of a lever belt? Lifting belts are made to support your spine by increasing pressure in your core. By using a belt, you increase the intra-abdominal pressure in your body– meaning you can lift more weight and help prevent injuries. However, it’s not a replacement for proper lifting technique.
Unlike belts with one or two prongs, lever belts only need to be adjusted the first time you use them. This makes it faster and easier to put on and take off the belt without fiddling with the prongs each time.
Should I choose the 10mm or 13mm Lever Belt? Both belts offer substantial support. The main difference is that the 13mm belt has extra material, making it slightly thicker and offering slightly more support. If you're a beginner or haven't used a lifting belt before, you might find the 10mm belt more comfortable.

This is my first weight belt so I don’t have anything to compare it to, it took a few tries to find right place to fit the clip but that’s to be expected with never have a weight belt before.
Even though the leather will need some time to break in the belt is quite comfortable during squats, no rubbing or digging into sides which is a must.

Great belt for reasonable price
This is my second lever belt from Strength Shop, and I bought it to accomodate larger sizing when bulking or wearing extra layers as I was right at the end of the smaller size. These are great belts and at a fraction of the cost of an SBD or Inzer, and I like that you can customise them with different colours and finishes for the lever. I’ve recommended these to several other people who have also bought and been satisfied with them. For reference, I’m 174cm and bought a small when around 88kg and now use a medium at 94kg.
