DetailsFull rubber bumper plates with 51mm hole. 450mm diameter, 50mm - 90mm width, and in our opinion THE best value for money bumpers on the market today. Testimonials; "Hi... Have *** *** ****** ***** available... I bought a pair from you a while ago. They are so durable and good to use - just as good as any Eleiko or Ivanko rubber bumper that I've lifted with and a fraction of the price! Thanks for making them available." ****, Hertfordshire. “As founder and head coach at Sutton and Epsom Weightlifting Club the quality of the equipment I personally use and that which I supply for my squad is of utmost importance to me. As is the nature of Olympic Weightlifting in the UK finances are always incredibly tight for new kit and the bumper plates from strengthshop.co.uk certainly provide excellent value. The inexpensive price doesn’t seem to reflect poor quality as thus far I haven’t seen any sign of splitting whatsoever. I would say the plates are very similar in quality to the same style from the leading manufacturers.” Phil Nourse B.Sc (Hons) First Class, CSCS, USAW, BWLA, Sac Dip “My goal is to compete at the 2012 London Olympic Games and by providing me a set of their excellent bumper plates, strengthshop.co.uk has helped to make this happen. I am now in full time training but I live an hour’s drive away from my club. In order to train more often I have set up a gym at home and Strength Shop’s bumper plates are clearly a pivotal part of this set up. The plates are excellent quality and compare really well with any other rubber plate I have used.” Sunny Brar (#2 ranked 63kg weightlifter in England)

- Great for power cleans, snatches, high pulls, Pendlay rows, and simulated stone training.
The 90kg set of bumper plates arrived promptly. Since I already have a pair of York 10kg bumpers, could make a direct comparison. The new 10kg bumpers could have come from the same mold, seriously. So apart from the logo, and a different color to the metal bushing, the bumpers were pretty much identical to the very expensive York bumpers. That was a good start.
Today gave them a workout for my presses, push presses, Pendlay rows. I used my Swiss bar(because of shoulder issues), that Strength Shop sent me a while back, which I also reviewed. Nice to know that you can drop a weight without smashing the floor, or cracking a plate.
Since I now have quite a stack of bumpers(110kgs of them), a tip for simulating stone lifting is to take off the revolving sleeve from an Olympic bar. Then you can load a couple/few bumpers as desired. And you can grip it around like you would an 18" diameter stone, and lift away. Don't forget to use a sleeve to lock the plates in position.
